The complete guide to karak chai for offices and events in Dubai (2026)
Cha Cha Chai, pouring karak in Dubai since 2013, serves offices and events in three formats: 1L flasks at AED 40 (saffron AED 44), about six cups each; 10-cup trays from AED 250; and a live karak and gahwa station from AED 900. Office and event prices are before 5% VAT, with a VAT tax invoice on every order, and everything we serve is halal. This guide covers which format fits which moment, how delivery works, what it costs on real numbers, and how an order runs.

1. What karak is, and why offices order it
Karak is strong, sweet, milky chai. At Cha Cha Chai every glass starts the same way: Assam leaves brewed strong, evaporated milk and cardamom. That is what makes karak thick and rounded rather than a tea bag in hot water, and it is why a pot of it can hold a room together for an hour.
From there the menu climbs a short ladder, dine-in prices as published: Karak Chai, Masala Karak and Ginger Karak at AED 14, the CCC Special Karak (saffron meets masala) at AED 16, and Saffron Chai (Zafrani), made with real saffron strands, at AED 20. If your team is new to karak, start with plain Karak Chai. The longer explanation is in karak by the cup, and the pairings are in what to order at a karak chai cafe.
Offices order it for a handful of ordinary reasons. A meeting that runs long is easier with something warm on the table. A flask is a shared object, so people stand around it and talk, which a row of individual cups does not do. Karak travels well in a flask, so the last cup is nearly as good as the first. And it is a small change from the usual coffee run: a team that drinks espresso all week often enjoys a different drink on a Thursday afternoon, a Diwali morning or the day a new client visits.
There is a practical side too. One order covers the whole floor, one invoice covers the expense, and nobody has to leave their desk. For finance and admin teams, that is the real appeal: a single quote, a single VAT tax invoice with our TRN and no service charge.

2. The three formats: flasks, trays, live station
| Format | What you get | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Karak flask, 1L | About 6 cups, kept hot | AED 40 | Meetings, floors, long afternoons |
| Saffron chai flask, 1L | Zafrani karak with saffron strands | AED 44 | Clients, board rooms, a treat |
| Office karak tray | 10 cups, poured and ready (samosa pav extra) | from AED 250 | A single meeting of about ten |
| Live karak & gahwa station | Karak and gahwa poured live for guests | from AED 900 | Parties, launches, open days |
Flasks: the everyday format
A 1L flask of karak is AED 40 and pours about six cups, so about AED 6.67 a cup. A 1L saffron chai flask is AED 44, about AED 7.33 a cup. Flasks are the most economical way to serve a crowd and they keep karak steaming for hours, which suits all-hands, training days and walk-in client areas where people help themselves.
Trays: ten cups, ready to pour
The office karak tray is 10 cups from AED 250, which is from AED 25 a cup. You pay for the convenience: it arrives poured and ready for one meeting. Samosa pav is extra on trays. Choose a tray when you want no handling at all; choose flasks when the cost per cup matters more.
Live station: when karak is the event
The live karak and gahwa station starts from AED 900 and is quoted to your guest count and hours. Karak and gahwa are poured in front of your guests, which makes it the right choice for an office celebration, a product launch, an open day or a majlis corner. For gahwa-led gatherings there are also a self-serve majlis station from AED 45 per person (minimum 30 guests) and a hosted majlis from AED 85 per person (minimum 40). Details are on the live karak station page, and exhibition stands are covered in karak for exhibitions and events.
A simple rule of thumb: up to about ten people, a tray or two flasks; a floor or a department, flasks; a celebration where the drink is part of the show, the live station.
3. How delivery works
Delivery for office and event orders is in Dubai only. The terms are the same for every area: AED 250 minimum per delivery, free delivery above AED 500, and a flat AED 40 below that. We do not deliver flasks outside Dubai. Prices exclude 5% VAT and a VAT tax invoice follows every order.
Timing is not fixed by a menu. Tell us the building, floor, day and the time the karak should arrive, and we confirm the delivery window, building access and unloading point on your written quote. If your building has a loading bay, a security pass or reception rules, say so in your first message; it is the single most useful detail for a smooth delivery.
We have a page for each major office cluster, with the nearest Cha Cha Chai café and the practical notes for that area:
- Business Bay
- DIFC and Sheikh Zayed Road
- Dubai Marina and JLT
- Media City and Internet City
- Deira and Business Village
- Dubai Science Park and Al Barsha
- Dubai Silicon Oasis
Site offices and warehouses have their own notes in karak for site offices and warehouses, and the delivery terms are summarised on karak delivery to offices in Dubai. If you want karak every week, ask for a standing order when you request your quote.
4. Cost examples on published prices
These are illustrations, not quotes. Each one uses only the published prices and delivery terms above, all before 5% VAT. Your written quote is the figure that counts, and it will show VAT on its own line.
| Situation | Order | Arithmetic | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| A meeting of 10 | 1 tray (10 cups) | 250 + 40 delivery (order is between 250 and 500) | AED 290 |
| A team floor of about 40 | 5 karak flasks + 2 saffron flasks (about 42 cups) | 5 x 40 = 200; 2 x 44 = 88; 288 + 40 delivery | AED 328 |
| An all-hands of about 100 | 17 karak flasks (about 102 cups) | 17 x 40 = 680; above 500, so delivery is free | AED 680 |
| The same all-hands on trays | 10 trays (100 cups) | 10 x 250 = 2,500; delivery free | from AED 2,500 |
| An office celebration | 1 live karak & gahwa station | Starting price; quoted to guest count and hours | from AED 900 |
Two things stand out. First, below AED 250 an order does not meet the delivery minimum, so a very small flask order should be topped up (for example with a saffron flask or street food) or collected from a café instead. Second, the gap between flasks and trays is large for a crowd: the same 100 cups cost AED 680 in flasks and from AED 2,500 in trays. Trays buy convenience, flasks buy volume.
Street food is extra and priced on your quote. For reference, the café menu prices are vada pav AED 11, samosa pav AED 12, veg momos (5 pc) AED 18.50 and chicken momos (5 pc) AED 20; for an office order we confirm quantities and price on your quote.
5. Seasons: Diwali, National Day, Christmas, Ramadan
Office calendars bunch up around a few dates, and karak fits each of them. Book early: send your date and headcount as soon as they are fixed.
- Diwali, Sunday 8 November 2026. Flasks and trays for the team, vada pav, samosa pav and momos alongside, and a live station for the office party. See Diwali karak for offices.
- UAE National Day (Eid Al Etihad), Wednesday 2 December 2026. Karak and gahwa for a flags-and-karak office morning, with a gahwa and dates majlis corner available on request. See UAE National Day karak for offices.
- Christmas and New Year, December 2026 to the first week of January 2027. Office parties, client mornings and year-end town halls in Dubai. See Christmas and New Year karak for offices.
- Ramadan 2027, expected around 8 February to 9 March, depending on the moon sighting. Suhoor flasks and iftar trays for the office table. See Ramadan office karak.
The prices do not change for the season: the same flask, tray and station prices apply, and street food is added on your quote. What changes is the lead time. December in particular fills quickly, so settle date and headcount early.

6. Events outside Dubai
Regular delivery is Dubai only, and we do not deliver flasks to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or the other emirates. For events, though, we bring the live karak and gahwa station outside Dubai by request. Travel, set-up and staffing are quoted per event and itemised in writing before you book. We do not publish fixed figures for these because every venue is different, and the Dubai starting price of AED 900 is a reference, not an Abu Dhabi or Sharjah price.
To get an accurate quote, send the venue, emirate and date, the guest count and hours, whether the station is indoors or outdoors, and the vehicle access and unloading point. Full details are on the live karak station for Abu Dhabi and Sharjah events.
7. Pairing karak with ROAST coffee
Cha Cha Chai has a sister brand, ROAST Specialty Coffee, which handles espresso, baristas, coffee carts and office coffee plans. Many offices want both: a barista for the people who want a flat white and a karak flask for everyone else. Because they are two services, you can order either on its own or together, and each is quoted on its own published prices.
The cleanest pairing for an event is a ROAST coffee cart with a barista alongside the Cha Cha Chai live station. ROAST coffee cart hire starts from AED 3,000 for a half day, before VAT. For the full picture of office coffee, subscriptions, breakfast and meeting catering, read the ROAST complete guide to corporate coffee in Dubai.
8. How an order works
Ordering is a short sequence. You send an enquiry through the form, WhatsApp or a call to +971 50 645 7762, with the building, headcount, day and time. We reply within one working day (Monday to Friday) with a written quote valid for 14 days. You approve it, we confirm the date, address, access and timing, and we deliver or set up. One VAT tax invoice with our TRN follows, with no service charge.
A deposit applies only where one is published. For the live station, a 50% deposit confirms the date and we need five working days' notice. Flask and tray payment terms are stated on your quote. The full nine steps, and a checklist of what to send in your first message, are in how an office karak order works.
